Part-time Bookkeeper and General Accounting Position
(Flexible position – ability to work from home and in office)

We are currently looking for a Bookkeeper & General Accounting person to join our Stouffville Optometry practice. Previous experience in this area of expertise is essential. Hours may vary from 20 -35 hours per 2-week cycles. Training will be provided. Eyewear benefits, Employee Assistance Program, free parking, WSIB and sick days are included for all employees.

The bookkeeper and General Accounting person is to be accountable for the areas described under their title. This position is responsible for the tracking and distribution of all accounts, payroll, accounts payables, bookkeeping entries, regulatory submission, financial tracking of inventory and financial statements.

Pay will be based on experience and knowledge.

Requirements for this position are:

  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Strong accounting knowledge
  • Experience with financial statements/Journal entries
  • General Ledgers
  • Invoicing
  • Reconciliation
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Payroll knowledge
  • Attention to detail/ organizational skills/ accuracy/ great communication skills.
